CHRISTOPHER LEE MANES has a Ph. D. in Studies in Literature from The University of Texas at Dallas as well as a Master’s degree in English and a double major (Bachelor’s) in History and English from The University of Louisiana at Lafayette. His research and teaching areas include Holocaust studies, American poetry, American history, creative writing, and gay and lesbian studies. His writings have appeared in The Southwestern Review, Louisiana History, and Carville: Remembering Leprosy in America. He has presented at the Dallas Poets Community, The University of Texas at Austin’s Graduate Conference, Louisiana’s Historical Association, and Word Space. He resides in Dallas and divides his time between Louisiana and Texas.
