A gripping adventure story from Bear Grylls, packed with real survival details and dangers at every turn!

When Beck Granger is ship-wrecked in the open seas, he needs all of his survival skills to save a small group of passengers.

But the sinking was no accident. In order to stay alive, he’ll have to work out who wants him dead, and why.

That is, if the sharks don’t get him first . . .

"Exciting, well-informed and zips along at an impressive pace" (The Independent on Sunday)

I bought this book for my daughter who is an avid reader. She has all of the others in the series, very entertaining and interesting for both girls and boys.

Lets begin by stating I don't usually leave reviews, but due to this horrendous read, I couldn't possibly not comment. If you enjoy the book series of Bear Grylls then fantastic, you will probably enjoy this book. HOWEVER if you are interested in sharks, and the title of the book 'strike of the shark' and the graphic photo on the front of the book, like me, simply drew you in, then dont get your hopes up. You are not in for a thrilling story about a shark attack. In fact, none of the characters are even in the water with the shark, or even confront a shark at any point of the book, so the graphic photograph on the cover is unnecessary. On top of this, the shark enters the book at page 205, and exits at 210, never to return. What is the actual point? Pointless, 1 star has been rewarded for actually finishing the book, which was an effort.
